Its been a while....

Hello again! It seems like its been forever since I've been on here to let you all know whats been going on in the Inkpen's lives. I think the last time I was here was right after our fundraiser auction. That was so much fun and a great success!! Thanks to all who came and to all who said they wished they could be there (if you all had come we would've needed a bigger facility!). Our partnership increased dramatically, and has been on a steady incline ever since. I will be getting an update at the end of the month, so at that time I can update you all on how things are going, financially.

As for other news: many of you know, our house is officially sold! The possession date is May 31. Yup, one week from today. Yikes!! This is a huge reason why I havent been blogging. All the preparations that go into moving is crazy! We had a moving sale, which was great. We sold a lot of things and only have a few big things left. Soooo...

If you know anyone looking for a dining room table & chairs ($40)

Or a twin bed - bed can be low (as shown), mid-way or at the top ($50) - complete with mattress (if needed)
 Or a couch - so comfy!!! ($75)
And, lastly, a handmade cabinet ($40)...
Let us know!!! These are the last of the 'big' items to sell (by next week, might I add lol). My friend's mom is having a garage sale this weekend, so with any luck, our small things will sell as she has graciously said I could put our things out.

There is a lot going on here with preparing to move, preparing for our cross-Canada trip (with a dip into the states to see friends) and preparing to leave the country. Its the little things that are starting to catch up to us like cancelling all our services, having the mail forwarded, registering for home/online schooling, and packing what little we have. We are doing all this while maintaining the regular day-to-day activities and chores a family of 7 has.

As of next week, all 7 of us will move in with my parents. I think we have a plan for sleeping arrangements, but it will still be a little squishy. But thats ok!

Many of you have been asking about our little guy, W. Well, he has been reunited with his younger brother, and has started the transition of moving to the foster home where is brother is. We really like the family and they are open to having us still in W's life. For this we are soooo grateful! We had his brother to our place for the weekend and the boys got along great! This weekend W will go to his brother's home. I know this is best for W, as hard as it is for us. We will miss him more then words can express. He will ALWAYS be a part of the Inkpen family and forever in our hearts.

I just finished reading a book called Dreaming in Chinese by Deborah Fallows. If you want an easy read about what life is like in China through the eyes of a North American who lived there for about 3 years, this is the book for you! It explained a lot to me about their language, their culture and customs and basically the hidden secrets of getting by in China. We are looking forward to seeing and experiencing what Deborah wrote about in person.

I think that is all the updates I have for now. Once we get a financial update at the end of the month I will let you all know how that is progressing. Thanks everyone for your prayers! We appreciate each person who reads this and follows us and we appreciate all the prayers said on our behalf. Your support is beyond words!
